Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) publishes Safe Delivery of Care inspection report on acute services at the Gilbert Bain Hospital
The unannounced Safe Delivery of Care inspection, undertaken in June 2026, examined care within the Emergency Department, Renal Unit, Ambulatory Care/Day Surgical Unit, as well as Ward 3 and Ward 1.

Update: Issue resolved - Temporary issue with requesting prescriptions via Patient Access
We are aware that following a recent upgrade with a clinical system, EMIS PCS, that prescriptions requested via Patient Access are not being received by some health centres.
