Covid Vaccinations Update

People in this age group are being contacted by their local health centre to make an appointment there. Except for those who live in Lerwick,
who will be phoned and invited to make an appointment for the Gilbertson Park Vaccination Centre. There are currently no walk-in clinics.

For people who are unable to leave their home, the community nursing and vaccination teams are visiting people to offer the vaccinations. The teams completed visits to the care
homes last week.

Appointments are being offered in the Gilbertson Park Games Hall, Lerwick on: Thursdays, 22nd and 29th September from 11:30 – 17:00 and Tuesday, 27th September from 11:30 –17:00.

Anyone over 12 who still requires their first or second dose of Covid vaccinations or missed their booster last winter (if 16 or over) can still contact the vaccination team to book an
appointment. These vaccinations are given at the Gilbertson Park Vaccination Centre, on Tuesday and Thursdays. Alternative arrangements can be made if necessary.

Appointments for first and second doses of Covid vaccine continue to be offered for those aged 5-11 years, in designated ‘child friendly’ clinics. Children who turned five before 31st
August 2022 are still eligible for covid vaccine if they have not already had it. Those who had their fifth birthday on 1st September or later, are only eligible if they are in a clinical risk
group.
