If you need healthcare advice, please do not phone the A&E department at the Gilbert Bain Hospital.
We are receiving a high number of advice calls, and A&E staff are unable to offer advice over the telephone. To seek advice, call NHS 24 on 111. If it’s an emergency, call 999.
Our health centres and community pharmacies are all open today. The majority will be closed on the Public Holiday on Monday 21 April. However, our pharmacies will be open as usual.
You can also use NHS Inform and the NHS 24 Online app. These have symptom checkers that provide up-to-date and trusted advice about common illnesses and conditions. They can also advise you on how to manage your symptoms safely at home.
If you need further clinical help, the symptom checker will signpost you to the most appropriate service for your needs.
