A new Shetland Alcohol & Drugs Partnership website has gone live.

The website provides general information relating to alcohol and drugs as well as a comprehensive list of resources. Alongside useful links and a section on harm reduction advice it also guides people towards local and national support services.

You can access the website via this link Shetland Alcohol & Drug Partnership - Home (shetlandadp.org.uk).
The Shetland Alcohol & Drug Partnership is a multi-agency group tasked by the Scottish Government to reduce the harmful impact of alcohol and drugs in Shetland through partnership working. The vision is for every individual, family and community in Shetland to have access to:

A full and meaningful life without alcohol or drug related harm Dignified and respectful treatment free from stigma or discrimination Encouragement and support to find their own type of recovery

Wendy McConnachie, NHS Shetland Alcohol & Drug Development Officer shared “We realised that we needed to improve our online presence and after careful consideration and feedback from service providers and the public, we decided that we should have a dedicated website. We hope it will provide people with a single point of contact for accessing a range of information, advice and support services”.
