We were very fortunate to receive a donation of toys from Cooke Aquaculture to NHS Shetland.

Being in hospital can be an unsettling time for many and more so for children, these toys will certainly help to bring a smile to their face.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Cooke Aquaculture for their generous donation and Harry’s Department Store for co-ordinating.

Jenn Henderson, NHS Shetland Community Children’s Nurse shared "These toys really will make such a difference to children admitted here to the Gilbert Bain. We are very thankful to Cooke and Harry’s for their kindness."

Katrine Johnson, Shetland Seawater Office Manager, Cooke Aquaculture Scotland, said "We are absolutely delighted to help out the Shetland NHS Children’s Department at the Gilbert Bain Hospital this year in the lead up to Christmas. If a toy can bring some comfort to a sick child, and make the whole hospital experience a little less scary, then we couldn’t think of a more worthy cause."
