Adverse weather - if you have a planned appointment and are not able to attend, please contact the relevant department to reschedule.
If we need to amend your appointment due to weather-related issues, we will contact you by telephone.
Adverse weather

Due to the weather, we are expecting to have reduced staffing at several health centres, patient travel and the Gilbert Bain Hospital today, Monday 5th January.

We are aiming to maintain services at health centres but these may be telephone based, rather than face to face. We recognise the difficulties patients will experience with travel and if you are unable to attend an appointment, please call your health centre to reschedule. If we need to rearrange an appointment staff will be in touch directly.

For hospital services, we are unfortunately needing to postpone some appointments, including planned theatre procedures. If you are affected you will be contacted directly. If you haven't heard from our staff your appointment will more than likely be going ahead, however if you feel you cannot attend safely, please get in touch - in normal working hours - and we will be glad to rearrange this for you.

Due to the current weather conditions our Patient Travel Department will be operating at reduced capacity today, with some staff unable to travel into the office. If you need to contact the team, please e-mail shet.patienttravel@nhs.scot rather than call on the phone. Patient Travel staff will be prioritising urgent travel requests so if your request is not for this week it may not be dealt with immediately.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation at this time.
