The autumn/winter Covid and flu vaccination programme ends in Scotland on 31 March 2023. If you are eligible and wish to have a vaccine, please contact our Vaccination Team as soon as possible.
The offer of first and second doses of the Covid vaccine will end on 30 June 2023 for 5 to 49 year olds with no underlying health conditions. After this date, you will no longer be eligible for any Covid vaccines.
The offer of an initial booster dose (ie third dose) will end on 31 March 2023 for 5 to 49 year olds with no underlying health conditions. (This booster was offered to most people in winter 2021) Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to have a booster dose. After the end of March, you will not be able to get this booster dose.
If you think you may require a Covid vaccine for travel, please go to the UK Government's foreign travel advice website - https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice to check the country you are going to. Many countries no longer require proof of the Covid vaccine. Some require two doses and some may require three doses (1st dose, 2nd dose and booster). If the website says you need a Covid vaccine and you have not yet had the required number of doses, please contact the Vaccination Team at this time. In the future, Covid vaccines may be included in the Travel Health Service. You can contact the Vaccination Team by phone 01595 743319 or email shet.vaccination-team@nhs.scot
