NHS Shetland’s mass vaccination centre at Gilbertson Park Games Hall has been temporarily closed to allow the building to be used for voting in the local election. This closure allowed an opportunity to make some changes to the venue, making it more welcoming for children as we continue to offer the covid vaccine to all 5–11-year-olds.
The centre reopened today, Thursday 12th May. The clinic will now mostly be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays (1100 - 1830) and on one Saturday each month (0900 - 1430). Booked and walk in appointments will be available at each session (except for the times noted below). Please note children aged 5-11 cannot attend for walk in sessions and need to have a booked appointment.
The dates for May are as follows:
Thursday 12th May
Tuesday 17th May
Thursday 19th May
Tuesday 24th May
Thursday 26th May - There will be no walk ins 1530 - 1730, only booked appointments for children. Saturday 28th May Tuesday 31st May - There will be no walk ins 1530 - 1730, only booked appointments for children
