Vaccinations

The NHS Shetland Grantfield Vaccination Centre is located at the following address: Grantfield, North Road, Lerwick, Shetland ZE1 0NT.

There is ample parking space, including disabled parking directly outside the building. There is a bus stop outside Bolts Minimarket, just a few minutes walk away. Please note that the nearest public toilets are in the Toll Clock Shopping Centre. The entrance is clearly signposted, via the side door and not the SIC reception entrance.

Furthermore, if you are unsure if you, or your child, have had two doses of the MMR (or MMRV vaccine), you can contact your GP practice to check. Your GP practice may be able to give you the vaccines if you need them, or you can contact the Vaccination Team on 01595 743319 or email shet.vaccination-team@nhs.scot

If you have plans to travel and think that you may need travel vaccines, please get in touch with us directly. You can contact NHS Shetland's Travel Clinic by emailing: shet.travelclinic@nhs.scot or phone 01595 743319. Please contact us at least eight weeks before you plan to travel.

Update:

Grantfield Vaccination Clinic will close at 5pm on Friday 4 September 2026 and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 22 September 2026, whilst the site undergoes improvement works for the GP Walk-In Clinic. 

During the premises work, appointments for vaccine delivery will continue at a different location. Should you require a vaccination during the period that the Grantfield is closed, please email the team on shet.vaccination-team@nhs.scot or call 01595 74 3319.

Please let the Vaccination Team know if the vaccine need is urgent or can wait until re-opening on 22 September.
