Montfield Accommodation
On your arrival to Shetland, please go to the 24-hour reception desk at the Gilbert Bain Hospital (see map) and give your name. The key for your room will be at reception for you to pick up and you will receive a handbook about your accommodation, or this may have been sent electronically.
Accommodation has been arranged within the Montfield NHS Accommodation Block (see map). Your room will have a single bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet, lamps, desk and chair, sink and mirror. Bed linen will also be provided and WIFI is also available within the accommodation block. You will have access to a shared kitchen area, living room and a shared shower and toilet for the three bedrooms on your floor. There are also laundry facilities available within the block.

The cost of accommodation is £41.50 per week which includes rent and utilities.
AHP students who are "Scottish domiciled" and have SAAS funding can claim back accommodation and travel expenses using the following form:

There is a small car park at Montfield.
There is a canteen at the Gilbert Bain Hospital which offers a discount to staff and students.
