Inpatients
If you are coming into hospital as an inpatient, when you arrive, please report to staff at the main reception who will direct you to the relevant ward/area. If assistance is required the receptionist will be happy to arrange this for you.
If a child needs to stay in hospital every effort is made for them to stay in a single room and parents are welcome to stay and participate in their care as much as they wish to. There is also a Children's Nurse at the Gilbert Bain Hospital.
The NHS in Scotland is now totally smokefree (Smoke Free Grounds) as such smoking is not permitted on the grounds of the Gilbert Bain Hospital.
