The national autumn/winter vaccination programme for flu and Covid is now underway in Shetland, with the main programme running until mid-December.

Pilot supporting parents and carers with children with Autism is successful
NHS Shetland’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) has successfully completed a pilot programme that aims to support parents and carers of children and young people aged 5-18, who have a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Condition or who are on the ASD pathway for assessment.

Good Mental Health for All
‘Good Mental Health for All’ is a multi-agency project which aims to develop a refreshed mental health and wellbeing strategy for Shetland. The steering group leading the project includes representation from NHS Shetland, Shetland Islands Council, the third sector and people with lived experience. During the month of August, the steering group will be undertaking community engagement with a variety of groups and individuals.

Leading charity visits for Cervical Screening Awareness Week in Shetland
Shetland will host the UK’s leading cervical cancer charity for Cervical Screening Awareness Week. Suzanne Kelly, Cervical Cancer Prevention Manager at Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, will be in Shetland from Tuesday 20 June to Thursday 22 June.
