A new walk-in clinic pilot is set to open in Lerwick this week, offering patients alternative access to urgent primary care-based help.

Dr Margaret Johnston, originally from Aith, will take up the reins as a GP in Scalloway in the new year, following the completion of her training and recognition for her exceptional work as a GP trainee.

Extra drop-in date tomorrow for Covid and flu jabs
The Vaccination Team is putting on an extra winter vaccination drop-in clinic tomorrow (Saturday 13 December) to help manage the current demand. It will run from 9.30am to 4.30pm, and you may need to wait as it will be drop-in only.
