Relocation
Where highlighted on advertising specific posts, (mainly Band 5 and above) some posts may be eligible to receive a relocation allowance. Relocation Allowance may be offered to assist new employees having to relocate home and family to Shetland. Relocation does not cover all aspects of relocation but may assist with some areas in line with HMRC Revenue legislation e.g.
- Some of the costs in relation to the sale of old property and or purchase of your new home
- Continuing Commitments – help with either rent/mortgage in the old area at the same time as mortgage/rent in the new area occurs (subject to terms and conditions of procedure)
- Costs of moving household furniture and effect
- Travel and subsistence for you and your family to relocate to shetland
